What Is Breast Cancer?
Breast cancer happens when abnormal cells grow in a way that cannot be controlled. It will start off as a small lump in the breast that is hard to recognize and find. Over time it will grow though it depends on how bad it is on whether or not it will grow slow or fast.
It is important that breast cancer can be caught early because it can spread to other parts of the body. Each tumor can be determined as malignant or benign. Benign tumors do not spread – but malignant tumours, as in breast cancer, are made up of cells that can spread to and damage other parts of the body.
Breast cancer is more common in women – but it can occur in men as well.
