Botox Helps Fight Chronic Migraines

If you think that using botox to try to look young again is not a good enough excuse then you will be happy to know that you can use it for something much more serious. Allergan Inc. have researched into using their signature Botox product to treat people who suffer from serious migraine headaches.

The stated that their study showed the reduction of the number of headaches among people who suffered from chronic migraines after they were injected with Botox. The other patients were injected with placebo.

Based on the results of the study, Allergan will request a license from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the use of Botox for chronic migraines by 2009. Full results from the trial will also be released in 2009.
